We have made it to Detroit, and have toured the inner city whilst en route to the DIA. Just devastating to see how many boarded up, burned out, dilapidated buildings there are in the community. We drove past the
Railway Depot, the Russell Industrial Center, and then onto Belle Isle. I think Detroit should converse with Berlin and figure out how to rebuild itself. The city has a lot of opportunity , and seems like it could be an excellent source for a cultural revolution in the coming years.
